The College Square Design Team spent the latter part of 2024 and early 2025 soliciting feedback and input from community members and the public to affirm and refine priorities for the redevelopment of College Square.

As one of the most recognizable and visited areas of downtown Athens, College Square serves as a key gateway where thousands of visitors form their first impressions of our community. Enhancing College Square to be as vibrant and inviting as the newly renovated Clayton Street will help spur economic activity, create jobs, and expand cultural experiences in the heart of downtown.
